The Staff, Having our wedding reception on board the S.S. Sicamous made our day so much more enchanting and special. Not only did it bring a romantic, 'fairytale' atmosphere to my wedding, but it suited all our needs as well. The different rooms aboard were perfect to hold a photo studio, dinner, dance, and gift opening all in one location making it easy, organized, and elegant. Paul and I were married on May 21. It only seemed fitting for us to be married in the most romantic setting in Penticton. The S. S. Sicamous created a magical atmosphere, and our guests felt as though they had been there before. In preparing for the ceremony the staff was very knowledgeable and catered to our every need. They made us feel important and were an intricate part in creating our special day.
As the sun prepared to set….. On the 30th August we exchanged our wedding vows on the bow of the S.S. Sicamous. We must express our absolute satisfaction and pleasure with our entire experience on board the S.S. Sicamous. We were delighted to put away the decorations in favour of showcasing the natural, charm and décor of the S.S. Sicamous. Our guests revelled in the one of a kind, vintage interior of the ship. Alexa La Madrid was most accommodating and welcoming of us in our journey to find a special venue in which to join lives and families. Our needs were met every step of the way, resulting in a seamless wedding and reception. We continue to recommend the S.S. Sicamous for special events to this day.
